Jaipur  – The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) is set to relaunch the Patwari Recruitment Exam 2025 process. The number of vacancies has now been increased from 2,020 to 3,727 posts, and fresh applications will be invited soon. The board is also planning to conduct the exam in a single shift to avoid the need for the controversial normalization process.

Revised Vacancies and New Applications

Initially, the recruitment was announced for 2,020 posts. However, due to Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) decisions and resulting vacancies, 1,707 additional positions have been added. The final total now stands at 3,727 vacancies for Patwari positions across the state.

RSMSSB will soon open a new application window for fresh candidates. This presents a major opportunity for aspirants who missed the previous notification or were waiting for more clarity.

Edit Window for Previously Registered Candidates

For those who have already applied in the earlier phase, RSMSSB Chairman Alok Raj has confirmed that an edit facility will be provided. Candidates can modify or correct their application forms approximately one month before the exam, likely in July 2025.

A dedicated link will be made available on the official portal to allow these candidates to update personal details, documents, or exam center preferences if needed.

Patwari Exam Likely on August 17, 2025

According to board sources, the Rajasthan Patwari Exam is tentatively scheduled for August 17, 2025. Authorities are strongly considering holding the exam in a single shift, a departure from the multi-shift format used earlier.

No Normalization? Board May Conduct Exam in Single Shift

The decision to conduct the exam in a single session is aimed at eliminating normalization, a method used to balance score variations across different shifts.

Normalization has been a contentious issue, with several candidates claiming it unfairly impacted their scores in previous exams. While the final decision is pending, discussions within the board are ongoing, and the move is being considered favorably.
