Punjab Transport Department Maintains Over 99% Timely Disposal In DL & RC Services: Harpal Singh Cheema
Highlighting the Bhagwant Mann government’s resolve toward prompt and accountable public service delivery, Punjab Transport Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday announced that the Punjab Transport Department has brought down overall pendency across Driving Licence (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC) services to a remarkable 0.36%, keeping backlog well under the 1% threshold.



CHANDIGARH : Highlighting the Bhagwant Mann government’s resolve toward prompt and accountable public service delivery, Punjab Transport Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday announced that the Punjab Transport Department has brought down overall pendency across Driving Licence (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC) services to a remarkable 0.36%, keeping backlog well under the 1% threshold.
Disclosing the details after chairing a state-level performance review meeting through video conferencing, Transport Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said, “The evaluation covered 12 key public services notified under the Punjab Transparency and Accountability in Delivery of Public Services Act, 2018. The review was attended by State Transport Commissioner Parneet Shergill, along with Sub-Divisional Magistrates-cum-Licensing and Registering Authorities and Regional Transport Officers from across Punjab.”
He asserted, “Bhagwan Mann government is committed to ensuring citizen-centric governance where public services are delivered efficiently without unnecessary administrative bottlenecks.”
