New Delhi – Residents of Delhi and adjoining areas woke up to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Monday morning, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert and warned of more showers in the coming days.

Heavy Rain Hits Delhi, NCR in Early Morning Hours
At around 5:00 AM, the IMD issued a nowcast warning for Delhi-NCR, which was later updated at 6:30 AM with alerts for the next two hours. The warning forecasted light to moderate rainfall with gusty winds (30-40 km/h) and light thunderstorms across:
