Big Announcement by Rajasthan Education Minister: 21,000 Third-Grade Teachers to Get Promotion, Strict New Guidelines Introduced
Education Minister Madan Dilawar announces promotion for 21,000 third-grade teachers, 65,000 vacancies to be filled, and stricter school rules.

Jaipur: Following the release of the 10th board examination results by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Education Minister Madan Dilawar made several key announcements aimed at improving the education system and uplifting teachers. The most significant of these is the promotion of over 21,000 third-grade teachers in the state.
Promotions to Uplift Morale and Improve Quality
The Education Minister emphasized that promotions would not only boost the morale of long-serving teachers but also enhance the quality of education. Many teachers resist transfers due to concerns about losing seniority. The government is now working on a transparent system that ensures promotions and transfers are handled smoothly and fairly.
65,000 Teacher Vacancies to Be Filled
Madan Dilawar also announced that nearly 65,000 vacant teaching positions will be filled through RPSC (Rajasthan Public Service Commission). He highlighted the recent successful conduct of the REET examination, indicating the government's commitment to strengthening the education workforce and ensuring that every school has qualified educators.
New School Rules: Mobile Ban, No Religious Activities
The new education policy brings with it a set of strict guidelines for teachers to maintain discipline and focus in classrooms:
-
Mobile phones are completely banned in the classroom.
-
Religious activities, such as prayers or rituals, are not allowed within school premises.
-
Teachers will be exempt from non-academic duties, enabling them to focus solely on teaching.
Accountability in Assessment
Under the new guidelines, teachers will be held accountable for student performance. If a student scores below 40 marks in the final examination, they may still pass, but the subject teacher will be marked as failed in performance evaluation. This move is aimed at ensuring responsibility and commitment among educators.
Timely Result Declaration Praised
The Education Minister also appreciated the collective effort of the examination department, officials, supervisors, and teachers in ensuring that the 10th-grade results were released on time. He said such coordination reflects a positive change in the state's education system and supports the goal of continuous improvement.
